Dr Rāpata Wiri has taught Te Reo Māori in various universities and wānanga since 1995 and has authored several Māori language and history books, including Te Ao Māori – the Māori World (2007), Te Reo Taketake (2007) – A Māori Language Course for Beginners and Reo Ora (2023) A Māori Language Course for Intermediate Learners.
Rāpata has also worked with several iwi teaching in the Bay of Plenty Te Reo and now teaches Te Reo and English online through an online platform called reoora.com. which is based at Haupapa House in Rotorua.
He is passionate about the revitalisation of Te Reo Māori and the innovative use of Artificial Intelligence (or AI) to assist in teaching and learning Te Reo. His website is www.reoora.com.
